Day 1
Bus ride from Cusco over the Málaga Pass into the cloud forest to Hidroeléctrica (lunch). Flat 3-hour, 10 km hike alongside the train tracks through tropical vegetation to Aguas Calientes. Hotel overnight and group dinner.
Day 2
2-hour guided tour of the Machu Picchu citadel. Return hike from Aguas Calientes to Hidroeléctrica (3 hours). Direct bus back to Cusco at 2:45 PM, arriving at night.
